Healthcare in petrochemical industry

In the world which increasingly gets industrialized, healthcare has a particular significance. Nowadays, the motto of “healthy workers in healthy workplaces” has been followed by many industries. In the same regard, the HSE health sector of the National Company of Petrochemical Industries has put on agenda the following activities in order to create, maintain and enhance physical, mental and social healthcare among those involved in the industry.

a- Health of workplace (professional healthcare): This includes forecast, identification, assessment and check of harmful agents in the workplace including physical, chemical, biological or ergonomic ones.

b- Health of environment including health of foodstuffs, health of restaurants, food outlets and cooking places, as well as health of water, garbage disposal and drainage

c- General healthcare including health of public places, fighting insects and rodents, and curbing of infectious diseases

In light of the above-said items, the health section of the website of the HSE affairs of the National Company of Petrochemical Industries has been formed of two specialized parts of health information and healthcare in petrochemical complexes. The first part offers a variety of information on different health issues (including professional healthcare, environmental healthcare, and general healthcare) and presents links to other relevant websites in the same sphere. The second part presents a report on the healthcare situation in the petrochemical complexes and their subsidiary companies as well as any ongoing activities or carried out measures in healthcare affairs in those companies.
